I trained in museum curation specializing in museum education and have devoted much of my career to exploring issues of cultural diversity in museums including issues of cultural representation, repatriation and community engagement.

I now work as a freelance consultant, curator, exhibition developer and museum educator offering services in interpretation and education to museums, art galleries and heritage organizations. I specialize in museums and cultural diversity, strategies designed to actively engage audiences of all ages, and have a particular interest in designing exhibitions for children.

I also offer a range of illustrated presentations on topics related to museums, visual arts and cultural diversity.

I have a long list of publications including Museums and Repatriation (1997) and Making Representations: Museums in the Post-colonial Era (2001). You can see my full publications list here.
